The first image in a new series I did. As of this series
I have started numbering the files by series.
I was asked to do some psycadellic artwork, and so
I did these three pieces. In this one I tried to use
the kinds of colours you would see at sunrise. Pastel
colours viewed through a white morning mist.

The second image
of this series. Once again I tried to use the colous associated
with the time of day. Bright, crisp colours. A much more
symetrical image, indicating the sun overhead, with blue
sky creeping in around the edges. I just tried to give
this image a brighter, crisper, miday kind of feel. |

The third image
in the series. As with all images in this series, I attempted
to use the colours associated with the given time of day.
Strong, rich, colours. Not as bright as the first two
images, and with more yellows, oranges, and pinks... sunset
colours. |

This is a bit of shameless self promotion. But then
again, that's me! .
This is also the image I currently have as my Windows
desktop at home.
Never let it be said I was afraid of a bit of self-pimping.

A nice little
background image from the PSiBER~DREAMS site. Those images
are an alien's head, a pair of headphones, and 3 different
views of the world. |

This is my image
of the "42 fractal" (well its sort of a 42...
I tried anyway). |

First of a series of 4 images I did a little while
back. Just another cool fractal.
The tentative name for this piece is "chrystalis",
because of it's oganic chrysalis feel, with strong crytaline
overtones.

Second in the series is this fractal. This fractal
is the one I have as my Windows desktop at work.
The tentative title for this piece is: "exoskeletal
eddies". This is due to the overal feel of insect
exoskeletal plates and structures, but incorporating
the kinds of spirals and twirls you might associate
with smoke or liquids being mixed and creting small
eddy currents.
I feel this image has an almost bio-mechanical feel
to it, much like some of H. R. Geiger's work, as he
has provided me with much inspiration over the years.

The third in the series. I did these images for some
people at work who wanted some new backgrounds for Windows.
That object in fhe foregrouund is three glass touri
(or is it "touruses" ?), at right-angles to
each other. I thought this would be a good contrast
against the highly organic background. Plus I felt like
doing some refractive ray-tracing.

This is the fourth and final of the series and quite
obviously was done for a friend at work called Karin.
The main inspiration behind this piece is that Karin
said that she would like something that looked quite
3D. So I produced this, because it looks 3-dimentional,
while being abstract enough so that it still doesn't
look too "fake". I have a strong dislike for
images that look rendered for the sake of rendering.
Primarily images with only foreground items and little
or no attention has been paid to the background.

This is just a little (1024 * 768) desktop image I
whipped up for a new friend. I used Micrografix Simply
3D, Adobe Photoshop 5.0.2, and Fractint 20.0. These
are my usual graphics tools - occasionally I will write
a custom program for a specific task.
I was in a techy mood, hence the scanlines, borders,
and laser-like lines in the image.

[ whitenoisetitle.jpg ]

This was the title image from this site when I first
made it. At that stage the site was just a miscelaneous
jumble of stuff I'd done. Hence the site name, "Whitenoise".
Since then this site has gone through several complete
redesigns, as I use it as practice in HTML interface
design. I also use it as HTML experimentation, which
is why this site will sometimes not look so good in
all browsers.
